NEP 2020 Study Tour to Science City for College Students

Khumulwng (Tripura), Dec 16: The Departments of Political Science and Kokborok of Government Degree College, Khumulwng, organized an educational study tour to Science City on Monday as part of their academic enrichment initiatives under the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020.

The study tour aimed to enhance experiential learning by providing students with practical exposure beyond classroom teaching.

A total of 55 students from both departments participated in the academic visit, which focused on integrating theoretical knowledge with real-world scientific applications.

Students from the Department of Kokborok were guided by Assistant Professor and Head of the Department (In-charge) Rabindra Debbarma, accompanied by faculty members Soma Debbarma and Suman Debbarma.

The Department of Political Science delegation was led by Assistant Professor and Head of the Department (In-charge) Prasenjit Debbarma, with academic support from senior faculty member Gauri Chakrabarti, along with Abhijit Debbarma and B. Eden Debbarma.

During the visit, students explored a wide range of scientific exhibits and interactive learning modules. The exposure helped them develop a deeper understanding of the interconnection between science, society, governance, and cultural studies.

The hands-on experience encouraged critical thinking, curiosity, and interdisciplinary learning in line with the objectives of NEP 2020.
