The Neshamukt Tripura campaign scripted significant accomplishments in terms of seizure of contrabands and number of persons arrested during the first two months of 2022 compared to the entire 2017 – the last year of Left Front regime.

In the first two months – January and February of 2022 – Tripura Police seized 10,176 kg ganja and 1550 grams heroin, Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb shared the information in social media. Deb also compared with the achievement in the final year of Left Front ruling – 8589 kg ganja and 82 gram heroin were seized in 2017.

Deb also wrote, The Neshamukt Tripura campaign made noticeable progress in 2022 compared to 2017 and reiterated the Tripura would become Neshamukt State.

In his social media post, the Chief Minister also shared information relating to number of cases and arrested in connection with contrabands during 2017 and the first two months of 2022.

According to Deb, 84 cases were registered and 99 persons were arrested along with seizures of 10,176 kg ganja and 1550 grams heroin in the first two months, this year.

In 2017, total 83 cases were registered and 65 arrests were made while police had seized 8589 kg ganja and 82 grams heroin.

From the data presented by the Chief Minister, it is obvious that contraband haul by Tripura Police increased in a significant manner during January and February of 2022 compared to 12 months of 2017. A quantum jump in Heroin seizure is a good sign for the sake of the youth of the State.

The Neshmukt Tripura campaign is considered to be crucial to make Tripura an Atma Nirbhar State.
