Man returns after spending 4 yrs in Bangla jail
Finally, after four long years, Rajkumar Bauri returned to his country on Sunday. He is a resident of Simna area under Sidhai Mohanpur in West Tripura District. The 35-year Rajkumar Bauri, being intoxicated, used to wander in different areas and his wandering habit in an inebriated condition put him behind the bars for years in a foreign country.
Four years ago, he boarded a Sabroom bound Bus and reached Sabroom. It is reported, Bauri, under the influence of alcohol, crossed the border and entered Bangladesh from Sabroom.
Bangladesh Police apprehended Bauri and sent him to Rampur Police Station and later to Khagrachhari Police Station.
He was jailed, without any trial, for entering Bangladesh without a passport, sources alleged quoting Bauri. He spent the last four years at Feni Jail.
Today, Bangladesh Police handed over Rajkumar Bauri to Belonia Police. After interrogation and fulfilling the formalities, he was handed over to his family members. Bauri expressed happiness after returning to his native land.
Fratricide case reported
In an incident of fratricide, one youth was killed by his elder brother at Santirbazarunder the South Tripura district on Saturday.
The incident took place at Anurampara ADC village. Sources said that the dweller of the village, Surendra Reang hit his younger brother Patiram Reang with scissors. As a result, Patiram died on the spot. After the incident, Surendra fled away and remained absconded.
On being informed police rushed to the spot and brought the body to Santirbazar District Hospital. After post mortem, the body will be handed over to family members. Meantime, Police are searching for the accused. The reason behind the killing is yet to be ascertained.
