In a commendable initiative, North Tripura District Police Superintendent Bhanupada Chakraborty (IPS) has cultivated a variety of vegetables, flowers, and fruits at his official residence.

Superintendent Chakraborty proudly says that his garden boasts an extensive array of vegetables, including some rare varieties not readily available in the market. 

From bitter gourd to ridge gourd, bottle gourd, and ash gourd to sweet pumpkin, his garden has a variety of produce.

Leafy greens, beetroot, various types of brinjals, and carrots also thrive in his garden under his care.

The garden’s fruit trees bear mangoes, bananas, and oranges, a rarity given the season. Amidst the greenery, one can also find a variety of flower plants, including the fragrant rajnigandha.

This lush landscape is the result of Chakraborty’s meticulous care and deep-seated interest in agriculture, a passion that dates back to his childhood.

Chakraborty’s garden has not only caught the attention of many dignitaries but also won him accolades in various competitive vegetable and flower shows. 

Local people said, his initiative goes beyond personal satisfaction; it serves as a hope for environmental protection and greenery. His efforts underscore the belief that with will and enterprise, anyone can contribute to nurturing the environment.

One of the locals said, his garden stands as a symbol of possibility, a demonstration of the power of individual action in the face of environmental challenges. 

“It serves as an inspiration, encouraging others to cultivate a deeper connection with nature and take steps towards a greener future”, local people commented.
