The ruling BJP managed to trigger a slide in the Opposition camp in Asharambari (ST) Assembly Constituency as total 283 Janajati voters of 93 families joined the saffron camp during the ongoing Jana Vishwas Rath Yatra on Tuesday (Jan 10).
Tripura Chief Minister Dr Manik Saha welcomed janajati voters at Asharambari under Khowai district to saffron fold.
The Jana Vishwas Rally of the North Zone entered Khowai district today. In presence of Dr Manik Saha, the Jana Vishwas Rath Yatra started its journey towards Khowai town from Asharambari after rituals and joining.
Addressing the gathering at Khowai Town, Tripura Chief Minister said, “Khowai was a Left bastion. Many opposition activists including BJP supporters were murdered by by the communists. We want to liberate Khowai from the communists”.
Notably, CPIM candidate won the Khowai Assembly seat in the 2018 Assembly polls.
As part of the Jana Vishwas Rath Yatra, BJP organized a Vijay Sankalp rally at Khowai in which Dr Manik Saha and other leaders highlighted the achievements of the incumbent BJP-led government as well as launched scathing attack on the opposition especially the communists.
Claiming that CPIM and other Opposition parties would become untraceable after the 2023 Assembly Polls, Dr Saha said in 2018 we introduced the Prishtha Pramukh concept – no one in the Opposition could understand about Prishtha Pramukh. These Prishtha Pramukhs played crucial role in BJP’s victory in the last Assembly Polls.
“This time, we have started Rath Yatra – this will lead us to victory in the 2023 Assembly Polls”, Dr Saha asserted.
He also said, BJP is a party of development while the Congress is a party of indiscipline people and Communists are known for terrors. And, the TMC is a mixed product of these two. People of the State will not give any of these three parties any chance.
