Prajapita Brahma Kumaris, Tripura chapter will celebrate its Silver Jubilee at Aralia in Agartala on May 7 and 8 next.

Tripura Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb will inaugurate the Silver Jubilee programme in presence of Deputy Speaker Biswa Bandhu Sen and others, in-charge of Brahma Kumaris, Tripura and Bangladesh- B.K. Kabita said on Thursday.

Mayor of Agartala Municipal Corporation Dipak Majumder, MLA Rebati Mohan Das and other dignitaries will also attend the function.

While announcing the programme at a press conference, B K Kabita said, Joint Chief of Brahma Kumaries, Mount Abu Headquarters- Rajyogini Brahma Kumari Santosh Didi, Director of Lower Assam, Arunachal Pradesh, Manipur, Meghalaya, Tripura and Bangladesh centres – Rajyogini Shila Didi and Director of Ambabari sub-zone centres of Brahma Kumaris- Rajyogini Sharoda Didi would also take part in the Silver Jubilee celebration.

Besides, Union Minister of State for Social Justice and Empowerment Pratima Bhowmik will take part in a programme in the morning to welcome the guests coming from outside the state.

Next day, total 19 educated girls from various parts of the state would formally join Prajapita Brahma Kumaris through a programme ‘Samarpan Somaroho’ and devote themselves towards service to the people, she added.

BK Jonali, BK Niru, BK Rakhi and other members of the Brahma Kumaris Centre were present in the press conference.

Prajapita Brahma Kumaris Ishwariya Vishwa Vidyalaya, started its journey in Tripura in 1995. The Centre completed its 25 years of service in 2020, but due to covid-19 pandemic the Silver Jubilee celebration was delayed, BK Kabita said.
