Classrooms will decide the future of students. Every child, by birth, has inherent qualities; however, only teachers can groom and nurture the child and teach as well as guide him to flourish his inherent qualities. It is important that teaching aims at preparing the students to emerge victorious in the life-struggle. Education Minister Ratan Lal Nath said this at Teliamura and added, the incumbent State Government has focused on the development of pre-primary education ensuring the basic educational foundation of a student remains strong.
“There were only nine pre-primary schools in the State – however, during the last two-and-half years, BJP led Government set up 88 schools. Moreover, the Government has introduced ‘Disha Project’ and NCERT syllabus for qualitative improvement of the State education system. In fact, the State is experiencing educational revolution for betterment and credit for this goes to the teaching staff s”, Nath said.
Earlier, the Minister inaugurated State level bi-cycle distribution among the girl students of class IX at Teliamura Kabi Nazrul Vidyabhavan HS (+2) school on Friday. Among others, Chief Whip of Assembly Kalyani Roy and MLA Atul Debbarma were present in the programme. During the inaugural programme, a total of 101 girl students from four schools received bi-cycles.
Notably, Kabi Nazrul Vidyabhavan was selected as the best school in Khowai district this year. However, a sense of dissatisfaction among the students and guardians of the school prevailed due to the negligence of the organizers.
“The concerned authority had spent so much money on the programme. But the organizers did not bother to pay tributes to the statue of Kabi Nazrul Islam – this appears to be like showing disrespect to the greats of the country”, opined a guardian of a student.
