The Union Ministry of Health & Family Welfare felicitated the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) team of Tripura and other States recently in a programme in New Delhi. The felicitation programme was organized to hail the contribution of the UNDP in rolling out CoWIN Application in all the States across the country.
MD NHM of Tripura Dr. Siddharth Jaiswal and State Immunization Officer Dr. Mousumi Sarkar lauded the achievement and commented the whole Immunization Team and Development Partners deserve such appreciation as Tripura did its best for administering Covid Vaccinations to all of the eligible population.
The CoWIN proved to be a gamechanger in the Covid vaccination drive in the country. India has achieved 100 Crores Vaccination in India through CoWIN Digital Platform and UNDP was instrumental in supporting this application to the Government of India and all States/UTs.
Speaking to the media Senior Project Officer (SPO) and State Team Lead for UNDP Tripura, Dr Supratim Biswas said, “in Tripura, 46,68,694 Vaccination completed till Date and UNDP Team comprising Project Officer-IT at State and 08 Vaccine and Cold chain Managers at 08 District were instrumental leading this app along with thousand of ANM/CHO/Teachers actors as Vaccination Officer for digital entries”.
Appreciating the role of the State Immunization Team and all Health Workers who were involved in this Covid Vaccination Drive, Vikash Sheel IAS, National Mission Director of the NHM felicitated Dr. Supratim Biswas, SPO and the UNDP Tripura Team at New Delhi on December 17 last along with other States’ representatives.
“This appreciation is indeed a boost for State Immunization Team and all Health Workers who were involved in this Covid Vaccination Drive”, Dr Biswas said.
