Champamura Coaching Center became the best in the Sadar sub-division under West District of Tripura in the Under-13 Cricket tournament. It was the 7th time Champamura CC won the honor of being the best. Champamura remained undefeated in the Super Four this year to win the honor. On Friday, Champamura defeated A.D. Nagar by 7 wickets in the title decider.

Notably, Champamura lost to AD Nagar in Group league – today’s victory was sweet revenge along with a title win for Champamura captain Ayan Debnath and his team.

In the under-13 cricket organised by the state cricket association, A.D. Nagar’s cricketers were already in a fix after losing their first two matches in the Super. It was to be seen how much they could fight against Champamura. But Champamuhra’s captain Ayan Debnath’s brilliant bowling put A.D. Nagar under pressure from the start. Eventually the boys of Khokan Deb – the AD Nagar team – could not get out of that pressure.

In the match was held at the Narsinggarh Panchayat ground on Friday, Champamura’s cricketers played with dominance from the start under the coaching of Karna Debnath. After winning the toss in the morning, A.D. Nagar PC was able to score only 90 runs by losing all their wickets in 39.4 overs. AD Nagar failed to score a big score due to the initial setback. The team’s captain Tirth Chakraborty scored 18 runs with the help of one boundary off 36 balls, Dibyajyoti Dhar scored 16 runs with the help of three boundaries off 30 balls, wicket-keeper Mohit Debbarma scored 16 runs with the help of two boundaries off 31 balls, and Abir Bhattacharjee scored 14 runs off 74 balls. The team got 19 runs in the extras.

On behalf of Champamura CC, captain Ayan Debnath took four wickets for 13 runs, Subhrajit Chakraborty took two wickets for nine runs, and Manish Ghosh took two wickets for 11 runs.

In reply, Champamuhra easily reached the target by losing three wickets in 19.1 overs. Rahul Reang (9) failed at the start, but opener Tanishk Chakraborty stood firm with Randeep Das. That pair built a partnership. Tanishk scored 31 runs with the help of five boundaries off 35 balls and Randeep scored 25 runs with the help of four boundaries off 56 balls. The team got 18 runs in the extras. A.D. Nagar’s Neelesh Sutradhar took two wickets for 18 runs.
