The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) received a resounding wave of support in South Tripura on Friday as a staggering 472 voters from 154 families embraced the party in the presence of Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha.
Taking part in separate organizational programs organized by the Shantirbazar, Jolaibari, and Manu BJP Mandal Committees in South District, Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha criticized expressed satisfaction with the Assembly poll results in Shantirbazar and Jolaibari but directed the Karyakartas to analyze the reasons behind losing the winning seats, including Belonia and Sabroom Assembly Constituencies. He emphasized the need for more discussions on these issues during the organizational meeting.
“A closer relationship should be established with the public. More support must be sought from the people. The 2024 Lok Sabha elections are ahead, and it is our duty and responsibility to ensure the victory of party candidates in both Lok Sabha constituencies with more votes than last time. We must think about strengthening our relationship with the people,” stated the Chief Minister.
He also criticized the previous governments of the state, particularly the CPIM and Congress, and urged party functionaries to explain to the people why some individuals who were previously in the BJP have now joined the Congress and for what purpose.
On this day, the Chief Minister called upon officials to raise awareness among the people about the implementation of various people-oriented projects sponsored by the central and state governments. He emphasized the importance of conducting door-to-door campaigns to build relationships with people.
After Shantirbazar, the Chief Minister participated in the BJP program at Jolaibari. He spoke at the organizational meeting organized by Jolaibari Mandal at the local community hall, where he also inaugurated the new building of the BJP Jolaibari Mandal Committee.
The Chief Minister emphasized that support is built on relationships, and all the functionaries of the Bharatiya Janata Party are working in this direction. He expressed confidence that Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s victory could be ensured in the upcoming 2024 Lok Sabha elections with more public support than before.
During the Chief Minister’s visit, a total of 472 voters from 154 families joined the BJP in Shantirbazar, Jolaibari, and Manu. Cooperative Minister Shuklacharan Noatia, former MLA Shankar Roy, BJP state secretary Papiya Dutta, and other leaders were present at the meeting.
