One of the most powerful and influential religious leader and chief of Satsang order -Pradhan Acharya of Satsang – Asoke Ranjan Chakravarty, popularly known to innumerable devotees and admirers of Sri Thakur Anukulchandra as ‘Parama Pujyapada ‘Sri Sri Dada’, passed away on Thursday at the Mission Hospital, Durgapur, where he had been under treatment for the last two months.

 

His last mortal remains were consigned to flames at Dakshin Durgapur Satsang Mandir premises of Durgapur. He was given a final farewell with a gun salute.

On the other hand, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has expressed grief by tweeting after receiving the news of Chakraborty’s death.

 

“Acharyadev Ashok Ranjan Chakroborty of the Satsang Ashram, Deoghar, will always be remembered for his selfless service to society. He was passionate about education, healthcare, social justice and empowerment. In this tragic hour, my thoughts are with all his devotees. Om Shanti”, the Prime Minister Tweeted.

 

Tripura Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb conveyed his condolences on the demise of the Pradhan Acharyadeva of Satsang.

 

In a condolence message, Deb wrote to Sri Sri Babai Dada, “I am deeply saddened at the demise of Acharyadev Sri Sri Dada. Even if I am unable to be physically present at Durgapur at this juncture, I am mentally standing by your side like uncountable disciples of Tripura”. He also prayed for long and healthy life for Sri Sri Babai Dada.
