Information and Cultural Affairs Minister of Tripura Sushanta Chowdhury highlighted the decisions of the State Cabinet meeting held on October 20 in a press conference after the Cabinet meeting.
He informed the media 18 junior computer assistants will be appointed in the state election department. Candidates should have passed Madhyamik and have 1 year Diploma in Computer Application and experience in data entry in Bengali and English.
He said that the 6,067 special executives will be appointed under the Ministry of Home Affairs and will get an honorary allowance of 11,000 rupees per month and their educational qualifications will be Madhyamik pass. The minister said that the state government will incur an annual expenditure of 82 crore rupees in the payment of honorarium. He further informed that it was decided to appoint 8 food safety officers under the health department in the cabinet meeting.
It has been decided in the cabinet meeting that the appointment of engineers in different departments, including PWD department, will be conducted through the combined competitive examination.
Earlier, engineers of different departments including PWD department were recruited through Tripura Engineering Service.
Chowdhury added, the number of general duty medical officer cadre of Tripura Health Service has been increased from 1,480 to 2,170. Also this number is divided into two categories. From the increased 690 medical officer cadre, medical officers will be appointed in two structures, specialist and super specialist.
Among them MD / MS or DNB qualification will be the qualification for appointment to Specialist Medical Officer and DM or MCH qualification for appointment of Super Specialist Medical Officer. He informed that it was decided to form a 6-member health selection committee in the cabinet meeting yesterday to appoint various technical posts of group B, group C and group D in the health department.
The chairman of this committee will be the Secretary of the Health Department and the Mission Director of the National Health Mission.
The Minister said in a press conference that it has been decided to accept 24 ICDS projects of the Department of Social Welfare and Social Education as a pilot project to provide nutritious food packets to pregnant mothers. This pilot project has been taken up for three months. It will cost the state government Rs 6 crore. The minister told the reporters that this decision was taken keeping in mind the pregnant mothers who were deprived of nutritious food.
