Evaluation processes of answer sheets of TBSE conducted Madhyamik and Higher Secondary (+2) Term I exams have started from Tuesday.
Speaking to the media, TBSE president Dr Bhabatosh Saha said a total of five centers have been set up in Agartala for the purpose of assessment of the answer scripts of Higher Secondary (+2) Term I Exam while for the Madhyamik, 10 assessment centers have been set up.
“The Evaluation process for answer sheets except Bengali and English papers is expected to be completed within seven days while the total process will be completed within the current month. It is expected that the results will be announced by the first week of February”, Dr Saha said.
Detailing the arrangements for the evaluation, Dr Saha said, 1250 examiners are engaged in the assessment of answer sheets of Higher Secondary (+2) – besides, for evaluating the Madhyamik answer scripts, 2900 examiners have been engaged.
Dr Saha referred to the emerging Corona Pandemic and said, the results of Term I exams will be considered for promotion in case of Term II exams cannot be conducted due to Covid Pandemic.
He also pointed out that 45 thousand candidates appeared for the Madhymik and 24 thousand students for the Higher Secondary (+2) Term I exams.
Dr Saha also said, from this year, the TBSE started conducting the examinations in Term 1 and Term 2 in line with the CBSE pattern to ensure the students’ career does not suffer in case of another spike in the Corona pandemic.
Term One of Madhyamik started on December 16 and ended on December 29 last. Examinations were held 77 centers across the State. Over 43,184 students from around 1073 schools registered for the examination. A whopping 93-99 percent of them appeared for the examinations. The Higher Secondary Examinations ended on January 7 last.
