Tripura has set an example not only for the indigenous people but for the whole nation through the launch of Tripura Banadhikar App.

Tripura in coming days will stand as an example to the nation and the world through its developmental works, said Union Rural Development Minister Giriraj Singh after officially launching National Generic Document Registration System (NGDRS) for registration of land documents in Tripura Registry Office and Tripura Forest Rights App through video conference.

lt has been informed that this National Generic Document Registration System software will be opening in West Tripura district sub-registry office, Jirania and Mohanpur sub-registry offices, Sepahijala district’s Bishalgarh, Sonamura and Jampuijala sub-registry offices.

Union Rural Development Minister Giriraj Singh in the programme said, Tripura is remarkably progressing forward in different areas. He lauded Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb and the state government for starting such initiative in the state. He said that these initiatives will not only bring different kinds of land related facilities for the people but also will ensure land rights of the tribal patta holders under Forest Rights Act.

The Union Minister hoped that as a result, this will play an important part in increasing state’s GDP. He emphasized upon practicing horticulture on patta lands in order to bring development in the quality of lives of the tribal patta holders. Singh further said, digitalization has reached 6.08 lakh villages in the country. In India about 95% land has been brought under digitalization.

Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb termed the day to be glorious for the state. Indigenous communities account for 32% of the state’s population. The patta beneficiaries were neglected from different central facilities under Forest Rights Act since a long period of time because of different problems. With the initiative of the Prime Minister and the efforts of the state government, it was possible to bring the patta holders under Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana scheme in the state. This is the result of sincerity of the Prime Minister towards the indigenous people.

Revenue Minister Narendra Chandra Debbarma said, Tripura is progressing ahead in case of Land record and land management with the launch of National Generic Document Registration System. He said that this system will provide special service to people living in remote areas and urban areas.

Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb and Revenue Minister Narendra Chandra Debbarma handed over digitized land documents to Bikash Chandra Pal and Sandip Debbarma in the programme.

Union MoS for Rural Development and Steel, Faggan Singh Kulaste, Additional Secretary of Department of Land Resources Hukum Singh Meena, Chief Secretary of state Kumar Alok, Secretary of ICA department Dr. P.K Goyal were also present in the programme.
