Even as the Leftists in Tripura demanded a re-poll in both Dhanpur and Boxanagar Assembly constituencies in the State, the Pradesh Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) extended its warm congratulations to the voters of both constituencies for their enthusiastic participation in today’s by-poll.

The election process, spanning from the announcement of polls to the final casting of votes, was held in an atmosphere of tranquility and orderliness, the BJP leaders opined.

Addressing a press conference at the BJP state office in Agartala, Pradesh president Rajib Bhattacharjee expressed his heartfelt congratulations not only to the voters but also to the dedicated party workers, polling staff, and security personnel, as well as all other individuals involved in overseeing the electoral proceedings for peaceful conduct of the by-polls. He commended their collective efforts in conducting the by-polls in a manner that was not only free and fair but also peaceful.

Bhattacharjee attributed the success of the BJP’s electoral campaign in both assembly seats to the relentless endeavors of Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha, along with all other ministers and party leaders who worked tirelessly to secure victory for the party.

Analyzing the voting trends, Bhattacharjee confidently predicted that the BJP would emerge victorious with a substantial mandate in both constituencies, citing the overwhelming support received from the people during the course of the campaign. He also highlighted the noticeable absence of any incidents of political violence throughout the election process, emphasizing the overall peaceful conduct of the bye-election.

Minister Tinku Roy and party spokesperson Asmita Banik were present alongside Bhattacharjee during the press conference. Both expressed joy and confidence of the party following the smooth and peaceful bye-elections in Boxanagar and Dhanpur constituencies.

As the election results will be declared on September 8. The saffron party anticipates positive outcomes in their favor, as indicated by the harmonious and trouble-free voting process that took place, leaders commented.
