The state unit of BJP on Tuesday brought out a rally with hundreds of party karyakartas in attendance congratulating Narendra Modi-led government on completion of eight years.
Mayor of Agartala Municipal Corporation (AMC) Dipak Majumder, BJP state vice-president Rajib Bhattacharjee, general secretaries- Kishore Barman, Tinku Roy and Papia Dutta and many others joined the rally in the capital city.
The state unit of BJP thanked the Prime Minister Narendra Modi-led government for Seva Sushasan and Garib Kalyan.
While addressing the media, apart from highlighting major initiatives of Modi government, Bhattacharjee appealed to the people of four assembly constituencies- Agartala, Town Bordowali, Surma and Jubarajnagar to vote for BJP in the by-elections scheduled on June 23 next.
Earlier, Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha accompanied by MP Rebati Tripura, BJP state vice-president Patal Kanya Jamatia and others listened to the speech of Prime Minister Narendra Modi who addressed the nation from Shimla.
On this occasion, the prime minister also released Rs 21,000 crore to 10 crore farmers as the 11th instalment of the Kisan Samman Nidhi.
Meanwhile, the Chief Minister chaired an organizational meeting of the Yuva Morcha at state BJP headquarters on Tuesday. He also held another poll meeting on the same day. (Courtesy: Tripura Times)
