A galaxy starts from different fields will show up in a 9-day long mega programme in Agartala from May 21 – thanks to Tripura’s one of traditional Blood Mouth Club of the city. Iconic Sport stars of the country and eminent singers from Kerala, Mumbai and West Bengal as well as the State will remain present in the mega programme.

Moreover, Chief Minister of Tripura, Biplab Kumar Deb has been invited to remain present in the inaugural session of the mega programme organized to mark the opening of modern facility fitted multi-storied building of the Blood Mouth Club on May 21.

The Club emerged from the unorganized initiative of blood donations in Hospitals and was established in 1968. The Blood Mouth Club in Agartala was one of big attractions during the Durga Puja for its innovative and artistic flavor in Idol making. Besides, the Club had an immense contribution in Football and Cricket, as well.

“Several Football players from African countries, Manipur and Mizoram along with players of the State, started their career from the Blood Mouth club and many of them excelled later. As the Club was busy with the construction of multi-facility Club Building, sports activities were neglected in some extent which will now be more than compensated”, said secretary of Blood Mouth Club Sebak Bhattacharjee.

Addressing a press conference in the Club premises on Saturday, Bhattacharjee said, A 9-day long mega programme will commence from May 21 and will continue up to May 29 in which Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb is scheduled to remain present in the inaugural programme.

Besides, star performer of ’83 Prudential World Cup Winner Indian Team, Madal Lal Sharma, Former captain of Indian Football Team in Asia Cup, Bhaskar Ganguly and pride of the State, Padmashree Dipa Karmakar will add more attraction. A host of singers including Vaishnav Giri from Kerala, Sangnik Sen from Kolkata and Krishnakali Saha of Tripura from Mumbai along with other artists will enthrall the city people with their musical performances.

Several sports activities like Marathon Race, Walking Competition etc will also be held as part of the 9-day long programme, Bhattacharjee commented.
