People have big trust in the homeopathy treatment system, which is considered alongside the Allopathy and Ayurvedic treatment systems.

 

This treatment method is effective enough to protect the health of all sections of people, including mothers, children and the elderly. Keeping this in mind, the state government is working on a multi-pronged plan to promote homeopathy management under AYUSH services, Tripura Chief Minister Dr Manik Saha said.

 

Dr. Saha was inaugurating the State Level Orientation programme on Homeopathic health services for mothers and children at Rabindra Bhawan in Agartala on Thursday (May 4).

 

Speaking on the occasion, the Chief Minister emphasized the crucial role that doctors and health workers play in ensuring the health and safety of society. He said the citizens of the state now have access to homeopathy, ayurvedic, and allopathy health services under one roof, thanks to the significant improvements in the state’s health services.

 

While doctors and health workers have a role to play, the Chief Minister also urged the general public to change their lifestyles to reduce the chances of diseases. The orientation program also included Ayush Community Health Officers who took part in the discussions.

 

The program included felicitation of doctors, health workers, and ASHA workers for their contributions in different fields of providing health services in the state.

 

The Chief Minister felicitated five retired homeopathy specialist doctors for their achievements in homeopathic health services. Additionally, he unveiled an awareness-based book cover on Thalassemia disease during the program.

 

The Health Secretary, Dr. Debashish Basu, and the Director of the Health Department, Dr. Subhashish Debbarma, also spoke on the occasion. The Medical Education Director, Prof. (Dr.) H. P. Sharma, was also present. The Mission Director of National Health Mission, Subhashish Das, delivered the welcome speech, while the Director of Family Welfare & Preventive Medicines, Dr. Supriya Mallik, delivered the Vote of Thanks.
