Agartala, Mar 13:Tripura Gramin Bank has received another recognition for its excellent performances.
This time, Tripura Gramin Bank (TGB) has received a Certificate of Appreciation from the Government of Tripura for its strong banking support under the Pradhan Mantri Formalisation of Micro Food Processing Enterprises Scheme (PMFME) during 2020–2026.
The recognition was presented at a state-level programme held at Pragna Bhavan on March 12 in Agartala. The event also marked the launch of the Tripura Women Entrepreneurship Policy (2025–2030).
Industries and Commerce Minister Santana Chakma handed over the certificate during the programme. Senior officials of the Tripura Department of Industries & Commerce, bankers and entrepreneurs also attended the event.
Tripura Gramin Bank recorded the highest number of sanctioned and disbursed loan cases under the PMFME scheme in the state. As a result, the bank played a key role in expanding financial access for micro food processing units.
Moreover, the bank actively supported local entrepreneurs. It helped promote small food processing enterprises. It also encouraged self-employment and rural livelihoods across Tripura.
The PMFME scheme aims to strengthen micro food processing businesses through financial support, training and market linkages. Therefore, banks play an important role in helping entrepreneurs access credit.

Bank officials said the award reflects the commitment of its staff and the strong coordination with government agencies. They also acknowledged the trust shown by entrepreneurs and customers across the state.
Meanwhile, Tripura Gramin Bank reaffirmed its commitment to promote entrepreneurship and support small businesses.
The bank said it will continue to focus on financial inclusion and sustainable economic growth in Tripura.
