Tripura Legislative Assembly Session from Mar 13
Agartala Feb 18: The 9th session of the 13th Tripura Legislative Assembly will commence on March 13.
It will be the first Assembly session of the year and also the first after the demise of sitting Speaker late Biswabandhu Sen.
Deputy Speaker Ram Prasad Pal is now discharging the responsibility of the Speaker.
The proceedings are slated to begin at 11:00 AM in the Assembly Chamber located at the New Capital Complex in Agartala.
As per Notification No. F.7(13-1)-LA/2026, dated February 18, 2026, the session has been convened by the Governor in accordance with Clause (1) of Article 174 of the Constitution of India.
The directive, endorsed by Indra Sena Reddy Nallu, instructs all legislators to be present for the scheduled sitting of the House.
Article 174 of the Constitution authorizes the Governor to summon, prorogue, and dissolve the State Legislature.

Through this latest order, members have formally been called to assemble for the forthcoming session, which is set to play a significant role in the legislative agenda of the state for the year 2026.
