Car theft bid: 2 Bangladeshi nationals among 3 detained
Three youths including two Bangladeshi persons were nabbed by locals while the youths were trying to steal a car. The incident occurred at Sarasima Area in Belonia under South Tripura on Sunday.
According to sources, two Bangladeshi nationals – Alamin and Shamim – crossed the India-Bangladesh Border and picked up one Babu of Amjadnagar in Belonia to steal one Commander Vehicle.
However, locals noticed them and caught red handed. One of the Bangladeshi managed to flee and took shelter in the shop of one Ram Prasad Saha aka Ramu – however, soon, locals traced him and detained. Later, all three youths were handed over to the Police.
During the interrogation, the accused youths of Bangladesh said that they came to visit their relative – Anwara Begum’s house.
Mysterious death of a youth
A 28-year old youth was found dead on the veranda of his elder brother’s residence. The incident occurred at Ward 3 of Kalamkhet gram Panchayat under Sonamura Police station on the intervening nights between Saturday and Sunday.
Two nephews of the deceased, Humayun Mia, noticed that Humayun was lying on the veranda and there were blood strains. As they raised an alarm, neighbours rushed in. Meantime Police were informed – however, reason behind his death is yet to be ascertained.
After an autopsy, the body was handed over the family members – the elderly parents of Humayun Mia and his second wife who is six-month pregnant.
The deceased’s elder brother is working in abroad while the wife of the deceased’s elder brother along with her two sons stays in their Kalamkhet house.
It remains shrouded in mystery, so far, as to how the body came in veranda of deceased’s elder brother.
