BJP gains as Oppn bleeds
Determined to harness its influence in Hill areas, BJP leaders are conducting political programmes to strengthen the organizational base as well as triggering slides in the Opposition ranks.
As part of its endeavour before the Assembly Polls, BJP held a programme at Hajra Para under 29-No Krishnapur Constituency in Teliamura on Saturday. In the programme, 254 voters from 88 families joined BJP leaving other parties.
BJP Khowai District Prabhari Amit Rakshit, MLA Atul Debbarma Mandal president Tutan Deb and other leaders highlighted the achievements of the BJP-led Government at the centre and the State. The leaders also spoke about the welfare measures taken for the benefit of different sections of the society including the indigenous people, farmers and underprivileged people.
The party received a major boost as 254 people belonging to indigenous communities jumped into the saffron camp in today’s programme. BJP Khowai District Prabhari Amit Rakshit welcomed newcomers by handing over the party flag.
IPFT holds Seminar in Ampi
With the initiative of the IPFT North Amar Pur division committee, a one-day seminar has been conducted here in Ampi Nagar community hall on Saturday. Highlighting party’s demand ‘Let us create Tipraland’, the IPFT North Amar Pur division committee leaders assembled here in the community hall today to make the seminar successful.
The IPFT North Amar Pur division committee formed 22 panchayat primary committees under 22 Ampi Nagar RD block today through this seminar. Discussions on several crucial matters were held among the divisional leaders over d organizational issues. Some important decisions were taken to make the organization stronger ahead of the State Assembly Polls.
Among the distinguished leaders, there were Adhin Debbarma, MCC, Ahalad Jamatiia, CSC member, Arjun Kalai, MCC, Rajesh Kalai, vice president of North Amar Pur division committee, Brajadayal Jamatia, vice president, Shravanlaxmi Jamatia, IWFT North Amar Pur division president, Agarmanik Molsom, North Amar Pur division IPFT secretary and many others remained present in the programme.
