Clash over Land dispute: 2 killed, 2 critically hurt
Two persons were killed and two others were injured over a land dispute. The incident took place at Dabbari under the Kamalpur sub-division on Thursday. The deceased persons are Rajani Das and Bilasi Das.
Miscreants allegedly led by Bikash Das and Dhirendra Das launched an attack today on Rajani Das, Santosh Das, Priyatosh Das and Bilasi Das at Jogendra Para under Daabbari following a land dispute. All four attacked persons sustained critical injuries and were taken to Dhalai District Hospital. As the health conditions of Rajani Das, Priyatosh Das and Bilasi Das were critical, they were referred to GB Hospital.
The attending doctor at GB Trauma Centre pronounced Rajani Das as brought dead while two other seriously wounded persons – Priyatosh and Bilasi Das were undergoing treatment at the Hospital. Later, in the evening, Bilasi Das succumbed to his injuries while Priyatosh is still battling for his life.
According to local sources, a complaint was lodged with the Salema Police station. No one was arrested till the report was filed. All the accused persons reportedly fled away from their locality.
Student beaten up in pvt hostel
One student of Manpathar Holy Cross English Medium HS+2 School under Santirbazar was allegedly beaten by the son of a private Hostel owner.
A 17-year student who hailed from Ramraibari ADC Village in Jolaibari along with a group of eight other students of the Manpathar Holy Cross HS+2 School are staying at a private hostel.
On Wednesday night, the son of the owner of the private hostel, Changsa Reang reportedly thrashed a class IX student of the School. The reason behind the incident remained unknown till now. The parents of the victim student received the information on Thursday morning and rushed to the hostel. After rescuing the boy, the injured student was taken to Santirbazar District Hospital. Parents demanded stern action against the accused person.
