National Panchayati Raj Day celebrated

The National Panchayati Raj Day was celebrated on Sunday at Dukli Panchayat Samiti Hall. Jail and Fire Service Minister Ram Prasad Paul and Dukli Panchayat Samiti Chairman Ajay Kumar Das were present on the occasion.  

 

Speaking on the occasion of the National Panchayati Raj Day, Ramprasad Paul said, the Dukli block has caught the attention of the state as well as the entire country in the implementation of development works in the area.

 

He also expressed hope that the Dukli block will be rewarded in the future as recognition of its achievements in proper implementation of actions. 

 

Tripura journalist Union holds annual conference

The Annual General Meeting of the Tripura Journalists Union (TJU) was held on Sunday at the Agartala Press Club. Delegates of the organization attended the AGM from different parts of the state.  

 

India Journalist Union chief Geetartha Pathak, secretary of Agartala Press Club and secretary of the TJU Pranab Sarkar, president of TJU Sajjad Ali and others were present in today’s program.

 

Pranab Sarkar first presented the annual report in the general meeting. Sarkar offered his condolences to the deceased journalists who passed away as well as who died in Covid pandemic. He extended sympathy and condolences to the bereaved family members.

 

He raised various issues in his while presenting the annual report.  Presenting the report, Pranab Sarkar said, “I have made sincere effort to make the organization stronger”. He also pointed out the weakness of the organization relating to some aspects. Delegates from various places also discussed the report and made suggestions.
