Tipra Motha to hold rally in city on Mar 12
A regional party of the State, Tipra Motha which is in power at Tripura Tribal Area Autonomous District Council (TTAADC) will hold a public rally in Agartala on March 12 next in support of party’s demand for ‘Greater Tipraland’.
TIPRA Motha Chairman Pradyot Kishore Manikya Debbarma on Wednesday made the announcement as well as took a dig at the CPM, Trinamool Congress and BJP for political violence in the State.
“Political violence is a culture of Tripura. This culture was not created on one day. Young generation should come forward for ending such culture in the state. Such violence is just maligning the name of the state. It’s a very shameful thing, he said and added political violence is a communist culture which has now adopted by Trinamool Congress and BJP.
“Political parties may change but the culture of violence may remain”, he lamented.
157 families join BJP
BJP organized a joining meeting at Ratanpur ADC Village under Hrishyamukh Assembly in South Tripura on Wednesday. Hrishyamukh assembly is the home turf of deputy leader of the Opposition and veteran CPM leader Badal Chowdhury. In today’s programme, 157 families left different parties and joined BJP.
Hrishyamukh Mandal president Ashesh Vaidya and a member of the state BJP Janajati Morcha, MDC Padmalochan Tripura, welcomed the new comers.
Speaking to the media Padmalochan Tripura said the BJP would win 60 out of the 60 seats in the upcoming 2023 Assembly elections.
IPFT holds joining programme
An ally of the ruling coalition in Tripura and a regional party, IPFT held a joining programme at Shivdhan Para under Ganganagar in Raimavally on Wednesday.
Local MLA Dhananjoy Reang welcomed the new voters into the IPFT camp. Party sources claimed 65 voters of 15 families joined the IPFT in today’s programme.
With the Assembly polls are nearing, IPFT is desperately trying to strengthen its organization in the Raimavally area.
