Taking a life-changing decision of travelling across the country, the Tripura youth all alone on his basic bicycle had reached his hometown on Friday after 2 months of his thrilling journey.
Meet the inspirational boy – Bapi Debnath of Agartala Chandrapur who went on an epic solo trip with his bicycle to tour across the country. Bapi embarked on his bicycle journey in July this year from Agartala to start for Kolkata and reach Southern India cutting across the shores of Bay of Bengal and then straight towards Ladhak, Jammu & Kashmir and went through several destinations of the country to return safely to his hometown after two months.
Soon after reaching Agartala, Bapi with his bicycle travelled to Tripureshwai Temple at Udaipur in Gomati district to seek blessing from goddess Kali for his successful trip.
Bapi then recounted days of his thrilling journey and talked about his experience of meeting the people around the country. He shared his way of promoting the language of South India and how the people across the country had admired the tradition and culture of tribal community of Tripura. He also recounted his complete experience of how he was involved in an accident in the remote area of Kashmir on Himalayan Mountain.
On his trip Bapi was seen putting placards on his attire to generate awareness over balancing the environment. With a determination Bapi also observed the country’s war with COVID in this unique journey of the solo bicycle trip across the country.
After this successful trip, Bapi now looks forward on government’s support in the near future as he dreams of setting a world record of cycling 6000 kms. next to achieve his goal and earn the name and fame of the state of Tripura. (Courtesy: Tripura Times)
