One person was hacked to death at Sonamura area in Tripura on Friday late nightwith. He was reportedly hit with a sharp weapon.
The deceased was a 40 years old Manan Mura Singh. He hailed from Taibandal area under Sonamura police station.
It is learnt, Manon Kumar Mura Singh was on his way home on a bike on Friday night along with other person.
According to Manon Kumar Murasingh’s son, one Surya Manik Tripura hit Manon Kumar Murasingh with a machate ( Dao) at Taibandal Gamaichhara area, alleged deceased person’s son.
As a result, Manan Kumar Mura Singh died on the spot. However, the family members of the deceased could not give any clear idea as to why he was killed.
Receiving the information Melaghar police rushed to the spot to recover the dead body and sent it to the Melaghar hospital for an autopsy. Accused Surya Manik Tripura is reportedly fled away. Meantime, police registered a case and started an investigation.
