In an attempt to foster a mindset for entrepreneurship among the youth, Swavlambi Bharat Abhiyan, Tripura Prant organized a conference in Agartala on Saturday.
State In-charge of Swavlambi Bharat Abhiyan is CA. Ratan Kumar Das who is also the Director of New India Assurance Company, Annadashankar Panigrahi, Rashtriya Sangharsh Vahini Pramukh who is on State visit participated in the program. Members from four districts participated in the conference. Nearly 70 members were present at the conference.
In the wake of unemployment problem in the country, the prime objective of the Swavlambi Bharat Abhiyan is to address the issue and encourage the youths to embark on a journey to emerge as a job provider, rather than a job seeker.
The ultimate target is to make India an unemployment free nation and become an Atma Nirbhar country by 2030. With this objective, speakers dwelt on issues pertaining to changing mindset in favour entrepreneurship.
Speaking on the occasion, A S Panigrahi said “It is true that unemployment is a big issue and to overcome the problem, new entrepreneurship should come up. On the basis of innovative entrepreneurship, employment opportunities will be generated which in turn will benefit the country as well”.
He added the motto of the program is to make youth self reliant and make them understand to do something of their own. The target should be to give jobs to others instead of moving door-to-door for jobs. Members of Tripura Prant of the Swavlambi Bharat Abhiyan are focusing college students and conducting programmes to encourage them to become self-reliant.
Panigrahi further added, Swavlambi Bharat Abhiyan can work towards the revival of 700 industrial clusters through cluster studies to understand their issues and problems and address them through support, handholding, and policy interventions.
