In support of 15-point demand, Trinamool Congress (TMC) of Tripura unit submitted deputations to SDM on Monday.
After a decisive defeat in Civic Body polls in Tripura in recent time, for the first time, TMC leaders came out of respective camp offices and held rallies.
Today, a group of TMC supporters led by the State steering Committee Convener Subal Bhowmik held a rally in the city prior to deputation submission.
Speaking to the media, Bhowmik alleged there is no rule of law in the State and demanded restoration of the same. Besides, he also narrated the 15-point demand list of the party.
The Trinamool Congress of Unakoti district committee, in support for their 15-point charter of demands met the SDM of Kailasahar sub-division on Monday. They alleged about corruption in Public Distribution System (PDS) in ration shops and also in agriculture department.
The party workers and supporters led by the party’s steering committee member and Trinamool Congress Unakoti district committee president Anjan Chakraborty held a rally in Kailasahar and placed a deputation with SDM Shanti Ranjan Chakma.
Referring to demand lists, Chakraborty said, we are demanding restoration of rule of law, repealing the privatization bid of the education sector of the state, to stop corrupt practices in the PDS system, permanent employment for 10323 teachers and other.
The TMC of Amarpur block staged a similar agitation in Amarpur on Monday and submitted a deputation to the Amarpur SDM after a rally. TMC leaders of Amarpur Block- Subir Sen Ghosh, Nirmal Kanti Das, Chanchal Dey and others were present during the submission of deputation. Later, the TMC leaders held a meeting at the front of the SDM office.
Besides, the party also met the SDMs at other place over the deputations.
