The Department of Business Management of Tripura Central University today organized a food festival to spread awareness about traditional and contemporary cuisine and inculcate sense of competition among students of the varsity.
The fest was inaugurated by Vice Chancellor Professor Ganga Prasad Prasain, who later interacted with students and staff members of departments that took part in the fest.
The VC also too keen interest in the different cuisines intrinsically associated with the local culture. The fest was marked by significant response from the university fraternity, with a footfall of nearly 600 people and Rs. 30,000 sale in the contest that spanned across three hours.
Assistant Director of Tripura Tourism Development Corporation Mrinal Debbarma joined the inaugural session of the fest today along with Professor Debarshi Mukherjee, Head of the Business Management Department.
As part of its commitment to promote friendly learning ambience for students and engaging interaction with alumni, the Department of Business Management of Tripura University is scheduled to organize Purvottaran, a freshers’ welcome event on April 01 and Rubaroo, an alumni meet and management festoon April 03.
