The Youth Wing of the Tripura Pradesh Congress has launched a campaign titled “Rozgar Do, Nyay Do” on Sunday, aiming to address the escalating unemployment issue.
The campaign alleges that the current Modi government has jeopardized the future of the country’s youth.
Rakhu Das, the President of the Pradesh Youth Congress, provided an overview of the current employment landscape for the nation’s youth.
He stated, “In response to the alarming unemployment rates that our country’s youth are currently facing, the All India Youth Congress has initiated the ‘Rozgar Do Nyay Do’ campaign and app.”
Das further criticized the Modi government for failing to fulfill its promise made in 2014. “Before his tenure as Prime Minister, Narendra Modi pledged to provide 2 crore jobs annually to the country’s youth. The BJP even coined the slogan, ‘Desh ka Yuva Kyun Rahe Berozgar, Ab ki Bar Modi Sarkar’.
However, the reality is starkly different – only 8 lakh jobs have been provided by the government during the 10-year Modi rule,” Das alleged.
Partha Pratim Datta, the campaign in-charge for Tripura, addressed reporters from the Pradesh Congress Bhavan in the capital city.
He emphasized the Youth Congress’s commitment to advocating for the rights and interests of the country’s youth. “This campaign will amplify the voices of the unemployed youth,” he said.
Datta added that the campaign, the app, and social media would be used to expose the anti-youth policies of the Modi-led government.
In a strategic move, Datta announced that two Youth Congress activists would be appointed in each of the 60 assembly constituencies across the state.
These activists will conduct door-to-door campaigns, listen to the grievances of the local youth, and facilitate their registration in the ‘Rozgar Do Nyay Do’ app, enabling them to express their job preferences.
Datta concluded by urging the nation’s youth to participate in the ‘Rozgar Do’ programme. “Join us in the Youth Congress and let’s secure jobs for our nation’s youth,” he appealed.
