Samrat Basak, a volunteer of Nehru Yuva Kendra Dhalai district of Tripura and a resident of Ambassa under the same district, has been nominated for the prestigious National Youth Award 2020-21 by the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports of the Government of India.
The award is given to recognize the outstanding achievements and contributions of young people in various fields of social service, such as health, education, environment, arts and culture, and sports.
Samrat Basak will receive the award at the National Youth Festival in Nashik, Maharashtra on January 12, 2024. He will also participate in various cultural and educational activities at the festival, along with other awardees and delegates from across the country.
Samrat Basak has been actively involved in various social and developmental initiatives in his district since 2018. He has also represented Tripura in the National Youth Parliament 2021, where he delivered a speech at the Parliament House in New Delhi on the occasion of Gandhi’s birth anniversary on October 2, 2022. He also registered his name in the India Book of Records for his achievements.
Samrat Basak is an inspiration for the youth of Tripura and the country. He has shown exemplary dedication and leadership in serving the society and the nation. Basak also expressed his gratitude to his parents, mentors, and well-wishers for their support and guidance.
