Two SPO jawans died at two different places -Teliamura and Ambassa – in Tripura on Tuesday. While one of them was found dead, the other one died in a freak accident.
At Telaimura, an SPO jawan was found dead by his colleagues at SPO camp in Hawaibari today. The deceased jawan Nanda Kumar Debbarma (50) hailed from Lichubagan of Twikarma under Teliamura PS. He is survived by his wife and a son.
Nanda Kumar Debbarma was reportedly running temperature as well as having a cold and cough for the last few days. Today, his colleagues found him lying unconscious. Later, doctor announced him dead. The family members alleged that the authority did not treat the deceased even as he was sick.
Meantime, SDPO of Teliamura, Sonacharan Jamatia along with Police personnel rushed to the SPO camp.
In another incident, an SPO jawan deputed at Ambassa Police line died in a freak mishap.
It is reported, the deceased, Sukesh Malakar was working in the Police Line for a long time. He used to wash and clean the cars. Today, he lifted a car off ground using a jack and entered under the car to work on it.
At one point, the jack on which the car was lifted off the ground slipped accidentally. And the wheels of the car crashed on his chest. His colleagues rushed and lifted the car and then pulled him out. He was immediately rushed to the Hospital but the attending doctor pronounced him dead.
Sukesh Malakar hailed from Challish Phutia village at Halahali in Kamalpur. Police started an investigation.
