The rally was attended by members of Self Help Groups (SHGs), Village Organizations (VOs), representatives from Pragati and Unnati Cluster Level Federations (CLFs), the Block Development Officer (BDO), and staff of the Tripura Rural Livelihood Mission (TRLM), including Mission Staff Assistants (MISA), Livelihood Coordinators, Cluster Coordinators, and Accountants.
Teachers and students from various schools also actively joined the initiative, adding youthful enthusiasm to the cause.
The rally commenced from the premises of Kanchanpur Higher Secondary School and made its way through the town, culminating at the Kanchanpur Kalibari.
Along the route, participants carried banners and slogans, spreading the message of hygiene and sanitation.
The central highlight of the program was the Swachh Bharat pledge, taken collectively by SHG members and students, reinforcing the community’s commitment to a cleaner and healthier environment.
In addition to cleanliness, the rally put strong emphasis on ‘WASH’ (Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene), stressing its significance in ensuring better nutrition, improved family health, and especially the empowerment of women.
Through skits, awareness campaigns, and interactions, SHG members actively engaged with the public, encouraging behavioral change and greater participation in the Swachhata Abhiyan (Cleanliness Campaign).

Officials noted that this was the first time TRLM and the Block Mission Management successfully collaborated to organize such a large-scale awareness rally in Laljhuri RD Block.
The initiative was hailed as an inspiring achievement, setting an example of how collective efforts and grassroots participation can drive meaningful social transformation.
“This rally is not just about awareness—it is about igniting a movement,” remarked a TRLM official.
“When women, youth, and community leaders come together, it shows us how powerful unity can be in shaping a healthier and stronger society”, the Official opined.
The event has been described as a turning point for Laljhuri RD Block, inspiring local communities to continue their efforts in sanitation, health, and women’s empowerment.
Organizers expressed hope that this initiative will pave the way for even larger programs in the future, reinforcing Tripura’s commitment to the nationwide cleanliness mission.
