Wriddhiman Saha will be leading the Tripura cricket team in the forthcoming Ranji Trophy, with Mani Shanker Mura Singh stepping in as the vice-captain. The 23-member squad, along with seven standby players, was announced in Agartala on Thursday ahead of the initial encounters.
The team’s composition, announced on Thursday, reveals a robust lineup, boasting seasoned players like Sudip Chatterjee, Ganesh Satish, and Rajat Dey among others, all set to mark their presence in the tournament’s opening matches.
The Tripura cricket association’s acting secretary, Jayanta Dey, conveyed instructions for the selected players to assemble promptly at the MBB Stadium by 2 pm on Friday.
The scheduled fixtures promise thrilling encounters as Tripura gears up to face Goa in a home match slated from 5th to 8th January, followed by a challenging clash against Tamil Nadu from 12th to 15th January. Both matches are scheduled to be held at the MBB Stadium in Agartala.
