Zareena sniffed out and helped BSF troopers in seizing Yaba Tablets from Madhupur area under Sepahijala district in Tripura on the intervening night of Saturday and Sunday during one of the series drives against narco syndicates.
According to a BSF press release, in the series of such operations in Madhupur and other areas on the intervening night of Saturday and Sunday, BSF troops foiled various smuggling bids & successfully seized 3,690 Nos Yaba Tablets, 77.8 Kgs Ganja, 1,406 Btls of Phensedyl / Eskuf Syrup, 50 Btls Liquor besides various other contraband items and also rescued 08 Cattle heads having combined value of over Rs. 28 lakh – Rs 28,77,024 to be exact.
BSF troops of Tripura are regularly conducting special drives to counter Inter-State and trans-border smuggling particularly narcotics. The relentless drives by the troops are succeeding in neutralizing the nefarious designs of Narcotics syndicates.
On BSF intelligence input, special ambush party of Border Outpost Kamlasagar, Ex-150 Bn BSF Gokulnagar with the help of Labrador Tracker Dog Zareena seized the Yaba Tablets from Madhupur of worth Rs 4 lakh 90 thousand.
Apart from Madhupur, a successful drive was conducted at Sonamura and Kalamchoura on the same night.
Acting on specific BSF intelligence input, special ambush party of Border Out Post NC Nagar, Ex-133Bn BSFGokulnagar seized “2,550 Nos Yaba Tablets worth Rs. 12 lakh 75 thousand and 09 Kgs Ganja worth Rs. 45 thousand having combined seizure value – Rs. 13 lakh 20 thousand” under Police Station- Sonamura, Sub Div- Sonamura, Distt- Sepahijala.
Further, on same night, based on specific BSF intelligence input, patrolling party of Border Out Post Ashabari, Ex-150 Bn BSF Gokulnagar seized “1,400 BtlsPhensidyl worth Rs. 2 lakh 61 thousand and 310 only and 42.8 Kgs Ganja worth Rs. 2 lakh 14 thousand having combined seizure value – Rs. 4 lakh 75 thousand and 310 only.” The seized narcotics were handed over to the concerned Police Station- Kalamchoura, Sub Div- Sonamura, Distt- Sepahijala (Tripura) for further course of action.
