Satyadev Narayan Arya will be the new Governor of Tripura.
In a press communiqué from the Rastrapati Bhavan on Tuesday said, “Shri Satyadev Narayan Arya, Governor of Haryana is transferred and appointed as Governor of Tripura.”
It was also mentioned the incumbent Governor of Tripura, Ramesh Bais has been transferred and appointed as Governor of Jharkhand.
According to Wikipedia, Satyadev Narayan Arya is a BJP leader from Bihar and a former Minister of Bihar. He is an 8-time winning Member of Bihar Legislative Assembly from Rajgir. He took charge as Haryana Governor in 2018.
Meanwhile, Ramesh Bais who was a Union Minister of State for Environment and Forests in Atal Bihari Vajpayee’s government from 1999, took charge as Tripura Governor in 2019.
Besides, several other Governors of different States have also been transferred.
According the press communiqué, P.S. Sreedharan Pillai, Governor of Mizoram is transferred and appointed as Governor of Goa.
Dr. Hari Babu Kambhampati is appointed as Governor of Mizoram.
Thaawarchand Gehlot has been appointed as Governor of Karnataka.
Bandaru Dattatraya, Governor of Himachal Pradesh is transferred and appointed as Governor of Haryana.
Rajendra Vishwanath Arlekar is appointed as Governor of Himachal Pradesh.
Mangubhai Chhaganbhai Patel has been appointed as Governor of Madhya Pradesh.
The press communiqué also said, “The above appointments will take effect from the dates they assume charge of their respective offices”.
