The West District unit of MY Bharat, Tripura, has urged eligible youth across all eight districts to register for the Viksit Bharat Quiz in large numbers.

Addressing a press conference on Wednesday, West District ADM Asit Kumar Das said the Department of Youth Affairs under the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, Government of India, has launched VBYLD 2027.
The initiative aims to give young citizens a platform to contribute ideas to nation-building and the vision of a Viksit Bharat.
The programme has six thematic tracks:
- Viksit Bharat Challenge
- Cultural
- Design for Bharat
- Hack for Social Cause
- Youth Entrepreneurship Challenge
- Youth Parliament
The tracks cover diverse areas, including creativity, culture, technology, innovation, entrepreneurship, social problem-solving and public policy.
Over 9,000 Youth Already Registered
Deputy Director of the Tripura Department of Youth Affairs and Sports and State MY Bharat NSS Officer Prabal Kanti Dey said around 27,000 young people participated in the state-level quiz competition last year.
He said more than 9,000 youth have already completed online registration for the current programme.
Dey also said 33 youths from Tripura participated in VBYLD last year. Of them, 23 took part in the cultural track.
Institutions Asked to Boost Participation
Officials have urged schools, colleges, universities, youth clubs and other organisations to create awareness about VBYLD 2027.
They have been asked to motivate eligible youth and facilitate wider participation. The aim is to ensure that the maximum number of young people from Tripura benefit from the national platform.
