Tripura News: Priyanka to hold road show in Agartala on Apr 16: Tripura Cong MLA

All India National Congress general Secretary Priyanka Gandhi will be arriving in Agartala on April 16 and will hold a road show in the city in support of the INDIA bloc candidates from two Lok Sabha Constituencies in Tripura.

Addressing a press meet at Congress Bhawan in Agartala on Friday, Party’s MLA Sudip Roy Barman said, “On April 16, Priyanka Gandhi will be visiting the state.

After landing at the Agartala Airport, she will take part in a road show which will traverse through various places in Agartala city, culminating at Durga Chowmuhani”.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah would visit Tripura next week to further spearhead the campaign for the coming Lok Sabha elections, party sources said.

In reply to a question as to why Priyanka Gandhi will not hold any public meeting, Roy Barman  said, there was a plan for a Janasabha to be addressed by Priyanka Gandhi and accordingly different bus syndicates were contacted to bring supporters to the rally.

“However, the syndicates expressed their inability to rent out vehicles. We even offered them advance payment, but they did not agree. Considering all the issues, we decided to hold road show only and Priyanka Gandhi may deliver speeches at places during the rally”, he asserted.

Terming the upcoming Lok Sabha polls as a Dharma Yuddha and INDIA Bloc as the Pandavas, Roy Barman said INDIA Bloc is observing the 'Nyay Dharma' and in the Dharma Yuddha, the Adharma would be defeated.
