September 30, 2017: Heavy downpour in neighbouring Meghalaya , inundated many areas at Goalpara district in Assam. Krishnai, Bolbola , Nabang areas at Assam -Meghalaya border are affected due to flood.

Hundreds of people have moved to higher and safer places. District administration has undertaken relief and rescue measures. Chief Minister Sarbanand Sonowal ordered district administration to take all steps to help affected people. Flood water also affected a few areas in Mancachar district. (AIR News)
