October 04, 2017: Organised by the Mizo Convention & the Young Mizo Association (Tripura Group), Jampui Hills will host the first ever “Tripura Mizo Summit”on October 5, 2017 at Vanghmun village. The summit is funded by TT Royte Group, a company owned by Robert Romawia Royte, who is also the Chief Managing Director of North East Consultancy Services (NECS) and president and owner of the 2017 I-league champion Aizawl Football Club.
Royte himself hails from Hmawngchuan village in Jampui Hills and has become a successful entrepreneur, and has been consistently working hard towards social development through various charities and the development of youths through sports. Royte will also be participating in the summit as one of the keynote speakers and is expected to ignite the minds of the Mizo youths of Tripura by sharing his personal success stories despite the odds he has faced. Another keynote speaker will be Sailiana Sailo, IAS, a retired top bureaucrat with the government of Tripura.
The summit will also feature four younger speakers who will educate their peers and the more experienced Mizo community members of the state under four important themes. Lalfaktlinga Hrangchal, TCS will lead the Career Guidance session; Dr. Zairemthiama Pachuau, owner of Hillcrest Medical Center, Jampui Hills and former Chief Medical Officer at Chikankata Hospital in Zambia and Howard Hospital in Zimbabwe will lead the summit on Drug Addiction and HIV/AIDS; Richard L. Zongte, TCS will talk on Economics; and Mr Dustin Lalkulhpuia, MZU Scholar will give Social and Political education. Part of the summit activities will also include traditional and cultural events like contemporary singing, folk dancing and Mizo traditional feasting, to mention but a few.
