October 7, 2017: : BJP All India general secretary Ram Madhav and Finance Minister of Assam cum NEDA chairman Dr Himant Biswa Sharma will arrive in Agartala on October 10 in a four day State visit.
The purpose of the visit is to further strengthen organization and chalk out details of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and All India BJP president Amit Shah’s Tripura visits in the run up to State Assembly Polls, party sources said. It is also expected that Sharma will hold discussions with INPT and other regional parties on pre-poll alliance.
In fact, State BJP unit already had held talks with INPT on tie up. Later NEDA was entrusted with finalizing the alliance with INPT. Being the NEDA chairman, it is expected that during the tour, Sharma will also focus on the alliance issue as well as explore possibility of forging alliance with other small parties like NCT.
State BJP unit is planning to launched intensified campaign after Diwali and visits of Ram Madhav and Sharma will lay the platform for that, opined political analysts.
In recently concluded National executive meeting of the Party, BJP top brass accorded importance to Tripura Assembly Polls and it appears BJP is gearing up to fire from all cylinders.
