October 18, 2017: Piercing through the darkness of ignorance, lights of wisdom are radiating in Tripureswari Temple on the eve of Kali Puja and Diwali Mela. Devotees are eagerly waiting to take a bath in the lights of wisdom and overcome ignorant demonic inner self – and the stage for Diwali extravaganza is set for transcending divine energy to thousands of devotees.
Tripureswari Temple – at Udaipur in Tripura – has been illuminated with seven shades of light and a sense of serenity is already in the air. Kali Puja and Diwali will be observed in the Temple on October 19 with with fervor, gaiety and devotion. Like every year, thousands of devotees and pilgrims will gather Temple premise and seek divine blessings.

Governor of Tripura, Tathagata Roy has extended his greetings to people of the State on the occasion of Diwali. Let all the darkness of our minds are washed away with the lights of Diwali, he wished.
Chief Minister Manik Sarkar also greeted people and wished Diwali celebration will further strengthen peace and tranquility ensuring unity among the people.
Wishing stronger bond between tribal and non-tribal communities, TTAADC Chairman Ranjit Debbarma greeted people on the eve of Diwali.
Leaders of Congress, BJP and other political parties also greeted people and wished prosperity.
Meanwhile, tight security arrangements have been put in place in Temple premise and Matabari area to ensure a trouble free diwali celebration. The organizers are expecting huge turn out this year. Police in plain cloths, CCTV installation etc are part of the elaborate security arrangements.
Apart from offering prayers to Maa Tripureswari Devi, a mela and cultural programmes will be added attraction.
