October 27, 2017: Agartala will become third North East capital after Guwahati and Itanagar (Naharlagun) to have a Rajdhani service connecting it to the National capital after Minister of State for Railways Rajen Gohain flags off the Agartala-Anand Vihar (New Delhi) Rajdhani on 28th October.
NFR stated, fares in 1st AC, 2nd AC and 3rd AC Will be Rs 7060/-, Rs 4330/- and Rs 3200 respectively. AC 2 tier and AC 3 tier fares will be of the nature of flexi fare. Passengers will be offered all Rajdhani class amenities including meals, linen etc during the journey.
The train will cover the distance of 2413 KM in a duration of 41 hours. It Will leave Agartala at 18 30 hrs every Monday and reach Anand Vihar at 11.20 hrs every Wednesday. On the way back, the train will leave Anand-Vihar at 19.50 hrs on Wednesday and reach Agartala on Friday at 13.30 hrs. Major stoppages include Dharmanagar, New Karimganj, Badarpur, New Halflong, Hojal, Guwahati, Kamakhya, Rangiya, Barpeta Road, New Jalpaiguri, Katihar, Barauni, Patliputra, Mughalsarai and Kanpur. While New Karimganj is also a stoppage, the train will presently not stop here. The stoppage here would become operational within next one month after completion of certain clearances.
