November 01, 2017: Lashing out at ruling Left Front Government, Assam Finance Minister and NEDA chairman Himanata Biswa Sarma said, BJP’s prospect of winning Assembly Polls in Tripura is bright and an internal survey by the Party also indicates that BJP is in winnable situation. Sarma who arrived today in Agartala in a two-day visit, stated this in Udaipur under Gomati district.
Sarma said, people are disgruntled with misrule of Left Front in Tripura and they are ready to oust the ruling Party. Wind of change is palpable and people will vote for BJP.
Political observers were curious about Sarma’s visit expecting that he would hold talks with regional tribal parties for pre-poll alliance. A tribal based party INPT has already expressed its willingness in forging an alliance. However, it is not yet confirmed whether the NEDA chairman will hold talks with regional and tribal based parties like INPT and IPFT-NC.
He held meetings with local BJP leaders and also discussed poll strategies with workers.
