November 11, 2017: The visiting three-member BJP Parliamentary team today lashed out at the ruling Party and accused CPIM for unabated violence in the State. The three-member BJP Parliamentary team led by BJP MP cum advocate of the Supreme Court Minakshi Lekhi today arrived in Agartala. The team has toured several violence affected areas in the State.
Addressing the BJP ‘Law and Legal Affairs’ Department at Agartala Press club today, Lekhi hailed Dipa Karmakar’s achievement and termed her as missile power of women.
Lekhi alleged, Left Front Government has established an autocratic regime and ‘murdered’ the democracy in the State. CPIM supporters are launching attacks on anyone who stands up to voice against misdeeds and wrong policies of the State Government – this highly dangerous for democracy. She further said, opposition parties have definite role in democracy.
Another visiting MP of the team, Prahlad Patel met rape and murder victims at several place including Santirbazar, Udaipur and Sonamura. Firing verbal salvo at CPIM, Patel alleged, people of the State are deprived of fair trail and justice. He also said, he will raise the rape and murder case took place at Mura Singh Para in the next session of the Parliament. Referring to chit fund issue, he said, thousands of people were duped by these chit funds. He said, many leaders of West Bengal are languishing in jails and it’s just a matter of time that the same will happen to leaders of Tripura.
