Dharmanagar, Aug 3: The annual three-day Children’s Culture-Science Festival at Tripureshwari Shishu Mandir concluded on August 3 with enthusiastic participation from students, teachers, and community members.
Held on August 1, 2, and 3, the festival showcased the creative, scientific, and cultural talents of young learners in a vibrant setting.
The event was inaugurated on August 1 at 4:00 PM at the school’s premises on Padmapur Madhubari Link Road. The opening ceremony featured several notable guests, including Sub-Divisional Magistrate Sajal Debnath, RSS Dharmanagar Division Pracharak Pradeep Debbarma, retired School Inspector and school mentor Noni Gopal Debnath, OBC State Committee president Molina Nath, and prominent educators from across Dharmanagar. The program was presided over by Paritosh Nag, president of the School Management Committee.
Following the inaugural session, the “Children’s City” program ran from 4:30 PM to 8:00 PM, where students presented exhibitions representing 12 educational systems of Shishu Batika, along with children’s theatre performances and cultural presentations.
On August 2, in celebration of Acharya Prafulla Chandra Ray’s birth anniversary and Indian Chemistry Day, a Science Fair was held from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM.
The fair featured science-themed dramas, essay readings, debates, quizzes, exhibitions, and model-making competitions. Young scientists created a total of 31 innovative models across four categories, capturing the attention of attendees and judges alike.

The final day, August 3, was dedicated to cultural activities. Competitions included Gita verse recitation, extempore speech, dialogue presentations, clay modeling, quizzes, and essay readings for both students and teachers.
The evening concluded with traditional dance and music performances inspired by Indian cultural heritage.
The Science Fair followed the curriculum provided by the Vidya Bharati All India Science Department, while the Culture Festival adhered to the syllabus set by the Cultural Awareness Department. Distinguished judges for various events included Professor Mousumi Bhattacharya, Professor Suman Adhikari, Babuchand Sinha, Nandita Roy, teacher Rupak Bhattacharya, headmaster Subrata Pal, and teacher Sumit Nath Chowdhury, along with other eminent personalities.
The three-day festival drew a large crowd from Dharmanagar, with spectators applauding the students’ talent and efforts, making the event a successful celebration of science, culture, and education.
