Mar 12, 2017: BJP is in no mood to let Manipur slip out of hands. Party General Secretary and in-charge of Manipur Ram Madhav said today, BJP will approach Manipur Governor Najma Heptulla to stake claim for forming Government. He said, Party will request Governor to invite BJP, NPP and LJP to form government in Manipur. He said, BJP has the support required to form government in the State and the party will prove it on the floor of the House.
Meanwhile, Naga People’s Front and Lok Janshakti Party of Ram Vilas Paswan have already said that they will support a non-Congress coalition Government in the state. National People’s Party (NPP) President Conard Sangma also told media persons today NPP will extend support to BJP in forming a non-Congress government in the state.
However, Congress Committee spokesperson Debvrata said that the party is in touch with non-BJP parties. She expressed confidence that Congress would form the next government in the state.
