May 06, 2017: Nothing new and nothing special – All India BJP president Amit Shah just reiterated what BJP State president and other BJP leaders are emphasizing – implementation of recommendation of 7th Central Pay Commission for the benefits of State Government employees, if BJP is voted to power. Addressing a press conference today at Agartala, Shah blamed CPI-M for not implementing 7th CPC recommendations. Commenting on alliance with any political parties in ensuing Assembly Polls in Tripura in 2018, he remained non-committal about alliance and said BJP is eyeing to further strengthen its position in the State.
Amit Shah arrived at Agartala today afternoon in a two day visit along with national secretary Rahul Sinha, All India general secretary Ram Madhav. During his visit, Shah will hold series meetings with top brass of the State leadership as well as with several Morcha leaders of BJP. He will address a public rally on May 7 at Kumarghat where, among others, Finance Minister of Assam Hemant Biswa Sharma will remain present.
Speaking to media, Amit Shah showered praise on State president Biplab Deb and State Observer Sunil Deodhar for their efforts in expanding organization of BJP in Tripura. He exuded confidence and said, BJP is all set to storm into power. “BJP is the only Party which can liberate people from the misrule of CPM”, he said.
He denied allegations that Modi-led Government had reduced fund allocation on MNREGA and Tribal Sub Plan. Referring to tax share of Tripura, he claimed, according to FC recommendation has gone up to 25,396 crore in 14th FC in comparison with Rs 7283 crore recommended in 13th FC. He also claimed fund allocation for DoNER augmented while Rs 13 crore has been allocated for upgrading GB Hospital.
Amit Shah criticized the CPIM for not utilizing funds properly for the betterment of the people. Referring to central assistance, Amit Shah said, Tripura would emerge as a model state, if it would utilize funds in right direction. Highlighting achievements of Modi-led Government, he urged people of Tripura to vote for BJP and be a part of growth story envisaged by PM Modi.
