May 25, 2017: The State Government will issue notification by May 31 for fresh appointment in teachers’ post conforming to guidelines issued by the Apex Court, said Chief Minister Manik Sarkar today in State Assembly. Expressing his Government’s concern for terminated 10323 teachers’ future, Sarkar said, Government is in touch with the MoHRD and exploring provisions for one relaxation.
“There is shortage of B.Ed qualified persons and in the wake of such a reality, we are discussing possible way out to address the emerging situation after verdict of the Apex Court”, Sarkar said.
Referring to December 31 deadline after which 10323 teachers will be rendered jobless, the State Education Department has been asked to chalk out contingency plan to maintain smooth functioning of education system in schools.
